摘要
称赞语作为一种表达积极礼貌信念的言语行为,吸引了许多研究者的关注。英汉两种语言文化中称赞语的运用、应答模式、语用原则等诸方面的异同,反映了不同文化的价值观念和行为准则的差异对称赞语实现方式的影响。
Compliment is a speech act to express positive and active concept, which has attracted a lot of linguists. This paper intends to offer a comparative study of the compliments in terms of their applications, compliment-responses, and pragmatic principles in Chinese and English. In addition, the paper also discusses the cultural influences upon the applications of compliments.
