Lushuiting and Its Cultural Signification

渌水亭是北京一道独特的文化景观。本文主要探讨它在清代初期出现的意义,揭示它深厚的文化底蕴。作者认为,渌水亭表征着明清易代之际,满与汉、北方少数民族和江南之间文化上的对峙、冲突和融合,微妙地折射出清初京师对江南的武力征服和文化上对江南的倾慕和向往,负载和发挥了特殊的政治和文化上的功能。

Lushuiting is an unique cultural landscape in Beijing. This paper reveals its cultural signification when it appears in Beijing at beginning of Qing Dynasty. It is pointed out that Lushuiting symbolizes the cultural conflict and merging between Manchu and Han nationality, and between the northern nomads and 'Jiangnan', and reflects the capital's conquering as well as the cultural admiration of 'Jiangnan'. Thus Lushuiting bears the political and cultural function.
