麦孟华思想简论

Briefly on Mai Meng-hua Thought

麦孟华是戊戌维新时期维新派的重要成员和有影响的宣传家、理论家。但长期以来他的思想未曾受到学术界关注,对他的研究是一空白。文章试图通过对他的政治、哲学、伦理思想的评介,指出他在提倡民权、清算奴隶性、选择变法途径、振奋民族精神等方面的理论贡献。

Mai Meng-hua was an important member and an influential advocator and theorist during the period of Constitutional Reform and Modernization of 1898 in China. However, his thought has never been given close attention by the academia for a long time. The studies on him is a blank. By commenting on his thought of politics, philosophy and ethics, this article attempts to point out his contributions to the aspects of advocating civil rights, clearing slave quality, choosing method of constitutional reform and invigorating national spirit.
