摘要
本文从英语教学和英汉翻译的应用角度出发比较英汉低调陈述结构 ;并运用语用动态翻译的理论 ,探索英汉低调陈述翻译的具体方法。
The present paper attempts to make a cursory comparison of understatement structures in English and Chinese. Then from the angle of the theory of pragmatic translation, six approaches to establishing equivalence in the translation of English understatement are mentioned: (1) paraphrase;(2) amplification;(3) extension;(4) reversion;(5) modification;(6) division.
