华岗——新中国大学学报的奠基人

Hua Gang, Base Founder of P.R.China′s University Journals

华岗在任山东大学校长期间,不仅为学校的发展做出了巨大贡献,而且是新中国大学学报的奠基人,他主持创办的《山东大学学报》,为宣传马列主义、毛泽东思想,为学校的教学、科研工作的开展和学术新人的培养发挥了重要的推动作用。《山东大学学报》的创刊发行,引起了社会和学术界的高度重视,中共中央办公厅还专门为毛主席订阅《山东大学学报》。华岗为学报建设和发展做出了突出成就。

During his term of presidency in Shandong University, Hua Gang had not only rendered a substantial contribution to the development of the university, he was also the base founder of P.R.China′s university journals. He had initiated and sponsored Shandong University Journal, which has since been playing an important role in enhancing the propaganda of Marxism and Mao Zedong Thought, in promoting the advancement of teaching and research work, and in cultivating academic novelties. The initiation of Shandong University Journal attracted tremendous attention from the academia and the society as a whole. The General Office of the Central Committee of CPC had particularly subscribed to the journal for Chairman Mao Zedong. Hua Gang had rendered a conspicuous service to the establishment and development of the journal.
