An Irony to Fraternity: On Zhang Ai-Ling′s Fiction

张爱玲的特殊经历、阅历和人生观,促成她以冷漠的态度俯视女性人生,她通过女性在亲属、亲子、两性三种关系中表现的书写,凸现了女性生活世界的荒寒。因而,她笔下的女性陷于漂泊与孤独的精神状态。这对"五四"以来倡导的博爱的传统是一种反讽。

Zhang Ailing always looked dowm at women life with an indifferent attitude because of her special experience and outlook of life. Her writing stressed the coldness and disappointment of women life through the female′s behaviors in the relations between their relatives , parents and children and the two sexes. Women in her fiction fell into a wandering life and a solitary state of mind. This is an irony to the traditions of fraternity since the May 4th Movement of 1919.
