本文主要介绍秦始皇帝统一中国以前甘肃地区的民族.计有黄帝、周、赢秦、犬戎、氐、羌、大夏、月氏、义渠、乌氏等族.其中有发源于甘肃者,有发源并长期活动于甘肃者,还有一度活动于甘肃者.它们很早就与中原地区的民族和政权发生联系,并相互斗争,在斗争中融合,成为华夏族的一分子.

This article relates the nationalities living in Gansu province before the Qin dynasty such as the Yellow Emperor, Zhou, Yingqin, Quanrong, Di and Wushi etc. Some of them originated from Gansu, some lived there for a long time. They got in touch with the central regime early and got involved in battle with them in the process of their assimilation. They all are part of Huaxia nationality.
