本文是对东乡哈木则宗族从产生到发展壮大,并最终形成东乡族最大的宗族之一的过程和发展脉络、人口分布状况的试探性研究,试图从哈木则宗族在其发展历程中经历的语言、民族、文化、信仰等方面的变迁与交融现象及其原因中,探究哈木则宗族形成和发展巩固的主客观原因,从一个微观的角度去探索整个东乡族族源、形成和发展的历程.

This article relates to the process of how Dongxiang's Hamuze patriarchal clan developed into one of Dongxiang's largest patriarchal clan and the distribution of its population. To find the cause of Dongxiang Hamuze patriarchal clan's formation and development, the author probes into the changes and acculturations of its language, culture and belief, and at the same time makes a research on the origin, formation and development of all the Dongxiang people from a micro perspective.
