鲁迅和乔伊斯小说中“妥协的人”的悲剧色彩

鲁迅小说深刻检视了在苦难社会里人所面临的悲剧命运 ;无独有偶 ,乔伊斯笔下的人物也被囚禁在当时爱尔兰的社会牢笼里 ,逃不脱颓顿、悲哀的命运。从悲剧理论入手 ,探讨两者之间的关系 ,发现鲁迅和乔伊斯小说中“妥协的人”的悲剧性既是社会的悲剧 ,也是人性自身的悲剧。

Lu Xun's fiction profoundly perceives the tragic fate confronted by people in the old miserable society. Similarly, those people in James Joyce's fiction are also confined in the prison of Irish society and unable to escape. This paper sets to observe the relations between Lu Xun's and Joyce's fictions by applying theories of tragedy, and discovers that the 'compromised characters' in their fictions are tragically typical of the society as well as of their personality.
