翻译的复杂性与翻译理论研究的开放性决定了文化翻译理论产生的必然性。文化翻译是综合文化学、跨文化交际学和文化语言学来研究翻译活动的一种新的角度。对文化翻译理论中文化中的翻译问题和翻译中的文化问题两个主要问题的研究可以突出对译者和译本文化性的研究。

The complexity of translation and the openness of translation theory study determine the necessity of cultural translation theory. Cultural translation which synthesizes culturology, cross-cultural communication theory and cultural linguistics is a kind of translation study at a new angle. The study of its main two problems of translation in culture and culture in translation gives prominence to the study on translator and cultural character of the translated text.
