《远大前程》中译本中一处翻译之我见

My Qpinion of the translation of one sentence in the Chinese version of Great Expectations

本文以《远大前程》中一个句子的翻译为例,说明笔者的“译亦可无定规”的观点,即,是归化还是异化,是直译还是意译,都应视具体情况采取不同策略与方法,以便尽可能使译作被译入语的读者所接受,同时又能获得与原作在原语读者中起到的同样的效果。

Translating,just like writing,can not be practised by using only one method from the beginning to the ending , but should be carried out by making use of all kinds of strategies and methods according to different situations in order to make the same effect on the readers of the translated version as that of the original on the native readers. This paper tries to show what this means by referring to the translation of a sentence taken from the Chinese Version of Great Expectations .
