There is a rapid development in the reforms of teacher education both in China and abroad in order to meet the demands for training professional personnel by the knowledge economy era. The reforms embody the specialization, integration, raising of academic credentials and life-long education. As the comprehensive universities have started with teacher education, which is a challenge to teachers' colleges, teachers' colleges meet with difficulties but they also have their own advantages and good conditions. Therefore they should keep up with the time and study their own strategies for development.
