Wen Yiduo and the American literature

在美国意象派诗人的影响下,闻一多的诗歌创作走向了诗化和现代化,在美国自由诗诗人惠特曼的影响下,他的诗歌创作则走向了大众化和非诗化,这两个矛盾的倾向分别代表了闻一多作为一个诗人和作为一个民主战士的不同的价值选择。

Because of the influence of the American imagist,Wen Yiduo's poetry has a style of poetization and modernization;because of the influence of Whitman,an American free verse poet,Wen Yiduo's poetry has a popular style and a style of unpoetization. The two styles are inconsistent,the former represents one of Wen Yiduo's value choice when he is regarded as a poet,the latter represents one of Wen Yiduo's value choice when he is regarded as a fighter for democracy.
