Most comparative studies on Flowers in the Mirror and Gulliver's Travels focus merely on criticism of the society and art of satire from the point of view of adults. This paper, from the perspectives of children's literature and of fairy tales, makes a parallel comparison between the two novels, thereby revealing the distinctive artistic rules embedded in and the common features shared by them.
