Corrosion inhibition was a key factor to make alkaline Zn/MnO_2 battery with 0% mercury. Suitable kinds of corrosion inhibitors and their reasonable constituents were determined in the study by measuring the gassing rate of zinc powder with adding some elements such as In,Bi,Pb,Al,Ca.
