摘要
英语倒装句是就其语序相对于S-V-O的"正序"来说的,而不是对于英语7个小句类型(clause types)的"变式"句.倒装句同正序句一样,都是人类认知特点同语言具体运用相结合的结果.倒装句的形成与运用不背离人类的认知规律.
English inversions, instead of being the variations of the seven “clause types', are termed in contrast to the canonical word order of “S-V-O' in the English language. Canonical order clauses as well as the inversions result from the interaction of human cognitive features with the concrete application of language. The forming and the applying of inversions by no means deviate from the human cognitive laws.
