摘要 本文首先扼要地回顾了语法翻译教学法产生的背景 ,阐述了目前它的状况以及对其未来的展望。语法翻译教学法的形成与发展有其特定的历史条件以及特殊的社会需要。目前的语法翻译教学法已在教学观念、教学目的、教学内容以及方式等诸多方面发生了显著的变化。在自身不断调整和改革的过程中 。 This paper first reviews the background in which the grammar translation teaching method came up, and discusses its current status and prospect. The formation and development of the grammar translation teaching is due to a specific historical condition and special social need. At present, a big change has taken place in this method, in its teaching viewpoint, teaching aim, contents and approaches. In the course of its self readjustment and reform, it shows a wider application to foreign language teaching.
