摘要
弹性分组环(RPR)是一种新的城域网技术,其媒体接入控制(MAC)协议正在制定之中。该文建立了弹性分组环(RPR)网络的传输模型;采用排队理论,在限定条件下对分组在网络中的传输延迟进行了分析;利用仿真工具建立了RPR网络的传输模型,进行了仿真,验证了所建立模型的有效性,能够为网络业务配置提供有效的参考。通过对各类业务传输平均延迟的比较,对各类业务的应用进行了分析。
Resilient packet rings (RPR) is a new metropolitan area network technology. The media access control protocol for RPR is currently being developed. An RPR packet transfer model presented in this paper was analyzed using queueing theory. The packet transfer delay of an RPR was analyzed in a constrained condition. Simulation results verify the theoretical results, so the results can be used as a reference for RPR network configurations. The transfer delays for different kinds of packets are compared to analyze the application of different classes of traffic.
