Conflicts of Palestine before May 17^(th) "White Paper" Issued and after it

1939年,英国托管政府就巴勒斯坦问题发表“5·17白皮书”,开始推行限制犹太移民政策。本文认为,正是在当时巴勒斯坦地区内外矛盾的推动下,导致英国的委任统治政策发生了重大变化。本文着重阐述了在白皮书发表前后,巴勒斯坦地区内部阿犹矛盾、英阿关系和英犹关系的发展状况,以及国际局势对于这一地区的影响。

On May 17th, 1939, the British Mandatory Authorities in Palestine published the 'White Paper' on Palestine restricting incoming European Jewish immigrants. It was considered as a converse change of the British mandatory policy in Palestine, which was caused by the intestine conflicts among the Great Britain, Arabs and Jews as well as the critical international situation at that time. The thesis expatiates on the details about the causations and the influence of this white paper.
