From "Vernacular Poems" to "New Poetry

本文讨论五四诗歌革新运动中从"白话诗"到"新诗"的演变过程。认为在"白话诗"时期,是在"大传统"和"小传统"中寻求突破,致力于"工具"的改革和形式的解放;到了"新诗"时期才改变自己的写作背景和思想艺术资源,在内容、诗体、修辞上全面接受西方的影响。

This article discusses the evolutionary process from 'vernacular poems' to 'new poetry' in the May 4th Poetry Innovation Movement. The author holds that in the period of 'vernacular poems' poets sought for breakthrough in the 'great tradition' and the 'minor tradition', dedicating to the improvement of 'tools' and the emancipation of the form; it was not until the period of 'New Poetry' that the background of writing and the ideological and artistic resources were changed and influence from the West was exerted in an all-round way in content, poetic style and rhetoric.
