The article attempts to put forward the idea of building up the theory of physical education curriculum in China. It analyzes the current situation of the research work on the theory of physical education and describes the necessity and feasibility of building up the theory of physical education.The article also discusses the scientific basis,research object and contents of the theory of physical education curriculum.
