转注的释名和实质

A Discussion Relating to Zhuanzhu(转注) and its Quiddity

许叙中有关转注的义释,前者说的是转注的字理依据和构形前提,后者说的是其字义的内容及其生成方式,字例的说解是从形、音、义三个方面对义释的补充。转注不是用来说明汉字形体结构类型的一种方法,也不是对已有文字的借用,而是在某个已有成字内部直接加注或替换某个字位,以求更加显豁地记写该字的所负载的某一意义的一种文字现象,是一种改字方法。

In the explanation of Zhuanzhu(转注) described by Xushen(许慎),the former talked about a theory basis of a Chinese word which formed by means of Zhuanzhu(转注),and a presupposition of its constitution.The later accounted for its content and a manner of its formation.The word samples complemented the explanation from grapheme,pronunciation and significance.Zhuanzhu(转注) is neither a form of Chinese characters nor a use of them.It is one of writing phenomenas in which a finished word can be added or replaced one component directly,in order to write down one meaning the word has recorded more obviously.It is one of the methods of altering Chinese characters.
