余江话形容词的生动形式有重叠式(包括AA、AABB、BABA、BBA等样式)、扩展式(包括xA、xxA、Ax、Axx、Axy、Axyz等样式)、四字格(包括A里AB、ACAD等样式),并可错综(包括AAxy、xAxA等样式)、转换(BABA BBA、xA xAxA xxA)、分级[AA试里(低级)→A(本级)→B(x)A(进级)→BB(xx)A(高级)]。与基本形式相比,生动形式有增强意义、附加评价、强化感情色彩和扩大语法等四大功用。
Vivid forms of adjectives in Yujiang dialect include:Ⅰ.Superimposed form,for example,AA,AABB,BABAB,BA,etc; and Ⅱ.Expanding form,for example,xA,xxA,Ax,Axx,Axy,Axyz,etc;Ⅲ.Four words pattern,for example,AliAB,ACAD,etc.There are also many minor forms formed by compounding the characteristics of superimposed form and expanding form,for example,AAxy,XAXA,etc.Adjectives in these three forms can be conversed into each other,for example,BABA→←BBA,XA→←XAXA→←XXA,etc.Different vivid forms of adjectives represent different degrees,for example,AAXiLi(the lowest)→A(original)→B(x)A(comparative)→BB(xx)A(Superative).Compared with the basical forms,vivid forms have four functions.
