TRANSIM-A TOOLSET FOR PROTOTYPING TRANSPUTER APPLICATIONS

TRANSIM是为仿真在多Transputer系统上运行应用程序并分析其性能而设计的一个工具软件包.用户在没有对应用程序编码或尚未建立Transputer硬件环境的初始设计阶段即能对整个系统的性能作出估计。本文对TRANSIM的输入格式,输出信息以及TRANSIM模型和它的实现等作一简单介绍.最后给出TRANSIM对一个四—Transputer并行系统进行性能评价的例子.

TRANSIM is a package designed to simulate running transputer applications on a multi-transputer system and estimate its performance. The application writer can evaluate the time performance of the whole system at the design stage when the detailed code or the transputer environment is not available. The input format, output information of TRANSIM, the TRANSIM model and its implementation are simply introduced in this article. An example is described of a 4-transputer parallel system whose performance is estimated by TRANSIM.
