1990年IBM公司向世界宣布XGA(Extended Graphics Array)高性能的视频子系统的标准,1991年由英国INMOS公司首次把它商品化,设计制造了两个专用芯片,组成了XGA系统.本文详细叙述了XGA系统的原理及其设计方法.
The XGA high performence video subsystem was announced by IBM to an eagerly awaiting world in 1990. It is now commercially available for the first time as a chipset from INMOS in 1991. This paper primarily discusses XGA theory of operation and design method.
