党的现行基本经济纲领是根据现阶段生产力的状况以及最广大人民的利益和愿望制定的。在改革开放的新的历史条件下,共产党员保持先进性必须体现时代要求,要胸怀共产主义远大理想,带头执行党的现行经济纲领,要把现行经济纲领的要求和对党员的共产主义思想道德的要求区分开来,使党始终保持先进性和纯洁性。

The current basic economic program is enacted according to the present situation of the productive forces and the interests and aspirations of the common people. Under the new historical condition of reforming and opening to the world, the CPC members, to maintain the advanced properties, must reflect the demands of the times, have the lofty ideals of communism in heart, play a leading role in implementing CPC's current basic economic program, and distinguish the demands of the current basic economic program from that of the communist morality for the party members so as to constantly keep the advanced properties and purity of the party.
