摘要
在分组霍夫曼编码的基础上提出了一种更有效的编码方法,即自适应分组霍夫曼编码方法.采用自适应分组霍夫曼编码方法及小波变换相结合对图像数据进行压缩.与基于小波变换的霍夫曼编码方法相比,压缩比大大提高,而计算复杂度只是略有增加.实验证明这是一种具有良好性能和计算量较少的静止图像压缩编码方案.
Based on the grouping Huffman coding method a more efficient coding method, i.e. adaptive grouping Huffman is presented. Combined with the wavelet transform the method is used to compress image data. Compared with the traditional Huffman coding method, this method improves the compression ratio obviously without much increase in complexity. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves good performance in image compression with less computation.
