摘要
本文报告对某大学部分中高级留学生识字量抽样测试的目的、内容、方法、结果及其对教学的启示。文章认为 ,识字量是反映一个人汉语水平的重要参考数据 ,应该成为教材编写、班级划分、教材选择和课堂教学的重要依据之一。测试结果显示 :中高级留学生综合识字量偏低 ;对汉字字音掌握较好 ,对字形掌握最差 ;对甲、乙两级汉字掌握不扎实 ;汉字文化圈学生在识字量方面有明显优势 ,但高级阶段优势大幅度下降 ;华裔学生识字量远低于非华裔学生。作者根据测试结果 ,对如何提高学生识字量提出了相应的建议。
The paper reports the objectives, contents, methods, findings and implications of a sampled test on the volume of lexical acquisition by a number of intermediate and advanced learners of Chinese as a foreign language at a university. The author believes that the volume of lexical acquisition (VLA) is an important index for evaluating the level of Chinese acquisition and that it should become one of the key criteria for textbook writing, textbook selection and classroom language teaching. The test results show that the overall VLA of the subjects is rather low; comparatively speaking, they have a better command of the pronunciation of the Chinese characters but are very poor in character shapes; they have an inadequate command of both primary and secondary classes of Chinese characters; learners with the areas where Chinese characters are part of their cultural heritage have a significant advantage in Chinese character acquisition, but this declines as they enter the advanced stage of learning; learners of Chinese descendants have a far low rate of command of Chinese characters than non-Chinese descendants. On the basis of the findings, the authors offers relevant suggestions on improving the VLA.
