本文综述了α -甲基苯乙烯环二聚体作为润滑剂、传热介质、增塑剂与加工助剂、香料填充剂等的应用情况 ,同时论述了标题产物由于其结构上的特点 ,而具有良好的抗热、抗氧稳定性 ;并综述了各种合成α -甲基苯乙烯环二聚体的方法 ,比较了所用催化剂的种类及反应温度等不同而对产物组成的影响。提出标题产物是一种利于环保 。

This paper summarized the application of α-methylstyrene cyclic dimer as synthetic lubricant,plasticizer,heat transfer fluid,extended composition of essential oil.Because of the title compound's characteristic in molecule structure,it has high temperature stability,radiation resistance and oxidative stability.The various synthesis methods of title compound are also reviewed.The influence of various catalyst and different reaction temperature on production composition were described.It's pointed out that the tittle compound is favorable to enviornment and has great commercial potential.
