君不见长江之水天上来,奔流到海不复回,这是何等的让人荡气回肠!无疑,游览长江已成了无数人的理想.如今,中国即将加入WTO,届时,将更加开放,经济亦会出现再一次腾飞,游览长江的人将趋之若鹜.为了加强长江涉外旅游船运输市场的管理,保障人民生命财产的安全,为经营者提供良好的市场环境,促进长江旅游业持续、快速、健康的发展,整顿长江涉外旅游船市场,已迫在眉睫.
To enhance market management of foreign-oriented travel boats on the Yangtze River, to guarantee the safety of life and property and to promote sustained, fast and healthy development of the Yangtze River tourism, it has become an urgent matter to regulate the market of travel boats on the Yangtze River. To this end, the Ministry of Communications has recently again held a special meeting on matters related to market rectification in the said aspect. Fire fighting and safety, assessment of operator's qualifications and management of shipping companies are key issues on the rectification programme. This rectification has been regarded by the ministry as the 2nd battle to that of vehicle ro/ro shipping on the Yangtze River in Sichuan Province.
