不久前在北京召开的食品安全高层研讨会上,有关专家估计,中国每年实际发生食物中毒例数最少有200万人。这一数字的公布,使得食品安全问题再度成为消费者关注的热点。有人将之形容为“食品恐怖主义”,对于历来强调“民以食为天”的中国,这样形容似乎也并不为过。
Statistics show that at least two million cases of food poisoning happen each year in China. The alarming figures raise concern for food safety. Some even describe this situation as 'food terrorism'. To overcome this vital problem, the government and food manufacturers must work closely together.
