The article explores the five basic features of the educational philosophy of Mr.Tan Kah Kee,a well known historical figure in Xiamen who donated all his money to education.These features include his patriotic enthusiasm as shown from his offer of education to the nation and the people,his principle of all round development emphasizing five aspects,his national,and consequently global approach to managing school,his strict administrative system,his philosophical system in education,and,finally,his great contribution to Chinas national education.
