物理教学应充分利用物理学的研究方法、实验现象向学生进行辩证唯物主义思想教育，利用本民族对物理学的贡献进行爱国主义思想教育，以增强学生的思想品德素质；通过加强科学方法的教学、物理实验的教学增强学生的科学文化素质；通过所学的有关物理知识加强对体育科学的研究，以促进学生身体素质的提高。同时，通过对物理学家自身高尚情操、物理知识内在美的教学来促进学生审美素质的提高；通过物理实验、课外活动的教学促进学生劳动技能素质的提高。
