民族问题是加拿大历史上由来已久的问题。存英、法裔加拿大人两大主体民族集团、土著民族与外来移民民族之间存在着民族矛盾,造成诸多社会问题,影响加拿大社会的安定和发展。在同化政策和二元文化政策都行不通的情况下,加拿大政府采取了明智的多元文化主义政策,取得显著效果,为其它西方国家所推崇和仿效。

Canadian national problem has a long history.There exist national contradictions among British-Canadians,French-Canadians,aboriginals and immigrants,which created enormous social problems and impaired Canadas stability and development.Owing to the unavailability of assimilation and dual culture,Canada carried out multicultural policy that produce notable effect,and was praised highly and imitated by western countries.
