Taking deflection to be a zero and assuming that the strain for the timber beam and the prestressed bar should be compatible as requirements, the authors analyzed and derived the calculated equations of bearing capacity of the prestressed bar which is related to the timber beam. A theoretical principle has been offered in order to design a prestressed timber beam.
