整旧如新 融新于旧——记北京航空航天大学图书馆改造设计

Repairing the Old as Good as New, Assimilating the New into the Old ——The Remodeling Design for the Library of Beijing Aerospace University

为把北航图书馆这个“老化”的建筑改造成体现学校形象的新的标志性建筑,本设计贯彻“整旧为新,融新于旧的”的原则,对原有建筑做大胆彻底地改造和更新,创造出富有个性的新形象;把这个新建筑放回到有着50年历史的校园环境中去,与周围的环境对话,黄同形成和谐,统一、完整的校园环境。

Following the principle of 'Repairing the old as good as new, Assimilating the new into the old', the designer creatively remodels and updates the original 'aged' library building us an indicative building, it reflects new image of university and is full of individuality. Put the 'new' building back into the '50 years old' campus, let it carry a dialogue with the neighboring surroundings, form the campus into a harmonic, unified and complete whole.
