摘要
本文通过对比英汉句型 ,讨论英汉互译时如何处理英汉句型转换。英语句子以主语—谓语结构为主 ,汉语句子以主题—评论结构为主。因此 ,汉译英时 ,要注意主语的选择 ,关系词的使用 ;英译汉时 ,要注意句子的主题化 ,动词的连续使用。英汉互译 ,要力图用符合译文的习惯表达方式去再现原文精神。
This paper discusses translating between English and Chinese from the perspective of sentence conversion between the two languages, proposing that a subject and a predicate make a typical sentence in English while a topic and comment in Chinese. The discrepancy in the sentence patterns calls for different solutions in translating: choice of subject for English and topicalization for Chinese in order to reproduce meanings of the source language in a way that usages of the target language is best respected.
