The Grammatical Similarities between the Constructional Particle “de” and the Demonstrative Pronoun “zhe/na”

本文以现代汉语中指示代词的结构助词用法为突破口 ,通过考察反映当今北京口语的二十余部当代小说 ,试图证明结构助词“的”与指示代词“这 /那”在功能上有共性。

This paper attempts to explore the functional similarities between the constructional particle “de” and the demonstrative pronouns “zhe/na” in modern Chinese.The grammatical similarities between the demonstrative pronouns and the constructional particle “de” reveal the commonality behind the various functions of “de”.
