Global Economy Recovering,While Risks and Uncertainties Remaining

2003年全球经济形势好于上年,但各国和地区经济发展仍很不平衡。有利于全球经济增速加快的因素正在增加,但风险和不确定因素仍然较多。为保持全球经济持续增长,各国和地区必须加强合作,特别是主要发达国家不仅要为解决热点地区的战乱和冲突做出贡献,而且在调整经济和金融政策时,要充分考虑广大发展中国家和地区的经济利益,实现南北经济协调发展。

The economic situation of 2003 is better than that of the previous year,but the growth rate is uneven in different parts of the world.Though there are more and more factors that will help ac- celerate the global economic development,many risks and uncertainties remained.In order to achieve sustainable development of the global economy,countries and regions should engage in a closer cooperation.The developed countries in particular should not only make more contributions to the settlement of regional wars or conflicts,but also take into consideration the economic interest of the developing countries and regions,when ad- justing their economic and financial policies,so as to achieve a balanced economic development between the North and the South.
