A fiber loop mirror is employed in an erbium-doped double pass backward (DPB) superfluorescent fiber source (SFS), to realize a robust all-fiber SFS. Output power as high as 30.6 mW with pump efficiency of 42.0% is achieved under the pumping of 980 nm Laser Diode (LD). Three fiber Bragg gratings (FBG′s) are utilized for the purpose of spectrum slicing. A rather stable tri-wavelength fiber source is got with total output power of 0.401 mW in the absence of any amplifier. A self-made fiber Fabry-Perot cavity is used for spectrum slicing, too. It brings out a multi-wavelength output with ~0.8 nm channel spacing, which satisfies the requirements of ITU standard. Experimental results and discussions will be useful in manufacture of SFS based multi-wavelength fiber sources.
