摘要
外语教学是文化教学。本文论述把大众文化引入大学英语教学的重要性。通过大众文化的三种主要表现形式：音乐、报刊和广播电视电影在英语教学中的应用研究，说明大众文化教学是辅助大学英语教学的有效途径。
Foreign language teaching is the teaching of culture. The paper sets forth the importance of teaching pop culture in college English. The research focuses on the application of three major patterns of popular culture-music,news publications and TV,radio and films in English teaching. The use of pop culture is proved to be effective in assisting teaching and learning.
