The framework of LonWorks network management tool based on an RS232 LonWorks adaptor module is introduced briefly. How to realize nodes' ID query and nodes' status query using LonWorks network management and diagnostic messages is described in detail. The result shows that building LonWorks network management tool by this way is economical and practical.
