Dynamic gain equalization technologies for DWDM transmission system

摘要 动态增益均衡技术能够克服级联多通道光放大器自发辐射噪声(ASE)和增益波动的积累带来的光信噪比恶化、动态均衡波长上/下引起的光通道功率变化等,提高长距离、大容量密集波分复用(DWDM)光传输系统的性能.文章综述了几种动态增益均衡器件技术的进展情况,比较了它们的性能,讨论了其在DWDM系统中的重要性和发展趋势. Technologies for dynamic gain equalization can improve the DWDM system transmission performance and overcome the system ONSR degradation due to the accumulation of ASE noise and gain ripple in cascade amplifier chain, dynamically equalize the channel power difference due to wavelength add/drop, etc. In this paper, several dynamic gain equalization component technologies and the importance in DWDM system are reviewed, especially in fabrication technique, performance comparison and future trends.
