This paper discussed the developmental situation, favorable conditions and problems of sisal industry in China, and proposed the strategy of further development. Priority should be put to superior regions. High-quality raw material production bases and leading enterprises construction should be strengthened to make the sisal production regionalized, standardized and integrated production with trade.
