2003年前两个月,人民银行继续坚持稳健的货币政策,保持货币政策的稳定性和连续性,金融运行总体看继续保持健康平稳。金融运行的主要特点为:货币供应量增长加快;居民储蓄首次突破10万亿元大关;人民币汇率保持稳定。

During the first two months of 2003, the People's Bank of China stuck to sound monetary policies to maintain its stability and continuity. Remaining healthy and stable, financial performance in the first two months of 2003 presented the following features: money supply growth accelerated; household deposits exceeded ten trillion yuan for the first time; and the RMB exchange rate maintained stable.
