翻译活动是按照社会认知需要,在具有不同规则的符号系统之间所作的信息传递过程。文章主要从文化因素、语言因素角度探讨了翻译的可译性,并归纳出四大原因,指出由于这些原因的存在,翻译是可能的,能够达到有效交际的目的,实现不同语族之间的交流。

The activity of translation is a process of information transferring between symbolic systems that have different rules in accordance with the demands of social cognition. In terms of the cultural factor and the linguistic factor, the article explores the translatability, and summarizes four major causes. Owing to these causes, translation is possible and can meet the target of effective communication, thus bringing about the exchange between different language groups.
