This paper has proved that the basic theory of China′s translation studies is constructed mainly on linguistic theory.It will continuously be the main one on which the modern translation studies,translating,and teaching of translation have to rely.Thus Contrastive Studies of Languages and Cultures of EnglishChinese Translation Studies is not only one of the basic main academic disciplines but also one of the majors for the postgraduates of EnglishChinese translation studies.
