素质教育的一种新视角:培养健全人格

A New Perspective of Competence Education:to Cultivate A Comprehensive and Healthy Character

素质教育的实质,是使人由"自在的人"向"自为的人"的发展过程。应试教育与素质教育既有冲突也有一致,其冲突属于考试方式的异化而不是考试本身。因此,有必要把应试教育与素质教育统一起来。开展素质教育,需要从人的全面发展出发,调整教育思想和教育方针,克服工具化的弊端,通过对教育内容和教育方式的重新审视和革新,达到培育人格的效果。

Competence education,although related to techniques,is not technical education.Although related to knowledge and culture,competence education is not intellectual or cultural education.Neither 'improving ability' nor 'improving comprehensive quality' is the nature of quality education.Its heart is a process which helps an individualinhimself development into an individualforhimself.There exist both clashes and similarities between examinationorientated education and quality education.The reason why the clashes exist is the alienation of examination pattern instead of examination itself.Therefore,examinationorientated education and quality education should be unified.To carry out quality education successfully we should,aiming at the full development of individuals,adjust educational thought and policy,overcome the disadvantages of taking examination as a tool,and reform the educational content and pattern.
