On the 1964 Russian Civil Code

前苏联的代表民法典具有浓厚的社会主义法性质和鲜明的时代精神。它对保卫社会主义制度和完善、巩固社会主义法系起到了重要作用;在世界范围内造成了很大的影响;其时代创新精神仍然具有强大生命力;虽存在一定的局限性,但其法制成败对我们不无借鉴意义。

Russia had its important influence on the construction of our legal system, and we can use for reference its gain and loss. After comprehensively expounding on the legislation process and system and contents of the 1964 Russian Civil Code, it is pointed out that the feature laid on its dense socialistic law character and its bright time spirit. Then, all-side and impersonal comment is made on the code, with the finding that it was in favor of defending socialism, and perfecting and consolidating socialistic legal system, and it had influence on the world and its time spirits are still strong. Finally revealed is the limitation of the Code.
