晚清邮政近代化是中国邮政事业发展的必然结果,也是挽回中国利权的必要举措之一。它奠定在海关邮政的基础上,带有某种程度的半殖民地性质,但在传统向近代的社会转型过程中也具有鲜明的进步性。

Modernized post of the late Qing Dynasty is the inevitable outcome of China Post'development,and also a necessary measure to retrieve sovereign rights.Though based on costoms post and still further subject to colonization, it marked a great step forward in the process from a less-cultivated society to a modern one.
